Internet dating is beyond weird. It started as an experiment to see how many weirdos are out there. It has now evolved into an experiment to see just how weird these weirdos are. And let me tell you, they are WEIRD! Alright, that's about as much detail as I want to get into now. Just.... Trust me.

So I now have a cyberstalker. Hooray! My life is complete. Bad things do come in threes, don't they? So hopefully this means this will be my third and final stalker. But at least they make it look like my site is a lot more popular than it really is... ah, there's always a bright side!

Well I've survived my third day of diet soda. For some reason it never occured to me that I could cut a lot of empty calories by drinking diet soda instead of regular. Obviously it would be better for me to cut out soda altogether, but anyone who knows me knows that's pretty unrealistic! So I figure I'm cutting my daily caloric intake by about 500! Damn, I drink a lot of soda. But you gotta start somewhere! So we'll see how much weight I lose if I can stick to it!

I finally got the counter working! It's taken me over a year to get this damn thing up! Stupid web gems... oh well, now I can keep track of exactly how few people actually visit my site!

National League West Champions! Woohoo! Don't know about a WS repeat; I think it's unlikely... but you never know!... Not much else going on here. Finally got a job (actually it was almost a month ago!), so I can stop being such a bum! I'm the assistant converter at Majestic Mills textiles. Sounds a lot more glamorous than it really is, trust me! So that and school are keeping me pretty busy. Plus there's my new workout regimen- can you believe it? Me, exercise, voluntary? Ha ha. I'm taking this body sculpting class and after the first day I was so sore I couldn't even move! Man, I'm a wimp! Oh well, gotta start somewhere!

*Sigh*... well, summer's over. Back to the city... *groan*... gonna be a baseball strike....*errghh*... oh well.. life goes on...

God I can't wait to get home! I'm excited to visit Aunt Joanie and go to DC next weekend, though. I've always wanted to go there, although now probably isn't the best time, with all these new terrorism warnings. I'm not looking forward to flying home, I can tell you that. Someone really needs to develop a teletransport device or whatever it's called...

It is so hot! Ugh... it's not really that hot by my "AZ gal" standards- only in the low 90s, but since there's no A/C, it seems much worse... especially when I'm trying to get dressed and undressed- all my clothes stick to me so I have to wriggle around rather unattractively in order to get them on or off... It's just delightful, let me tell you! Anyway, not much else going on... I've been tutoring a girl in my program for computer graphics- imagine me knowing more than someone else about anything computer-related! Amazing... Haven't felt much like researching lately. I kind of get on these kicks when I'll sit all day and do nothing but research. Lately though, I haven't really been in the mood. I need to get my butt over to the local NARA facility and the LDS family history center, though. There's only so many things that can be done online... fortunately watching baseball games is one of them! I've been waiting five long months for the season to start; let's see what they can do this year!

Well I know it's been a while, but it's not like anyone's been on the edge of their seat waiting for me to write something here.. Anyway, had a great spring break and- hooray!- my cable's back on! More progress in my research- one of my esteemed colleagues in the Genealogy.com chatroom turned me on to Gencircles.com, where I've found a veritable cornucopia of information (as Rob would say...) I have actually traced Todd's ggg aunt's family back to Mark Anthony, through Charlemagne and Kings Edward I and Henry I of England! Right now I don't have any way of verifying this info but it's still pretty cool- hopefully I will be able to confirm it sooner or later...

Starting to make more progress with my research. It seems to come in waves... but I've now found some ancestors in Ireland and also a few new photos, so be sure to check it out at the JewRoots page. I also got some interesting info from the Arizona Historical Society, some print records and photos of Don Chun Wo and his family, so I will hopefully be able to get those online soon too. Just need to get to a scanner...

Okay, I know how unusual it is for me to write two days in a row, but you've got to hear this: On Tuesday some guy went on a hit-and-run spree down Seventh Avenue (which is where FIT is) from Macy's to the Village. He injured nineteen people, not counting the woman in Jersey that he shot before this whole thing started! Then he fled but yesterday he stole a car and came back to Manhattan and started running into pedestrians *again*, outside Penn Station, which is a block from Macy's- 7 blocks from FIT. He injured seven people and he also shot a cabbie! What a psycho! Only in New York...

Mmmm... I never thought that my birthday would make me feel old. At least, not this soon. I still have so many things I have to do; I feel like I'm running out of time or something. I guess if I had a plan it wouldn't seem so bad. Oh well.. not much I can do about it right now...
